THRACE, Abdera, (520/515-492 B.C.), silver octadrachm, (29.75 grams), obv. Griffin seated to left with right foreleg raised, AB beneath foreleg, rev. quadripartite incuse square, (cf.S.1339, May [Coinage of Abdera] 44 same type [different dies], Plate III,44). Good very fine and very rare.
