SICILY, Syracuse, Republic issue (214-212 B.C.), silver eight litrai, (6.82 grams), obv. helmeted head of Athena to left, wearing crested Corinthian helmet, to right monogram AG, rev. winged thunderbolt above SVPAKOSIWN, below SW, (cf.S.1000, SNG ANS 1044). Extremely fine and rare.
