ITALY, Lucania, Metapontum, (c.335-330 B.C.), silver stater, (7.55 grams), obv. head of Demeter to right, rev. corn ear, META to right, mouse and **F off flan to left, (cf.S.416, Johnston [NN&M 164] Class A, 8.24 same dies, Naville 5 18/6/1923 No.485 same dies). Off centred on the obverse, otherwise good fine and rare.
