ROMANUS IV, (1068-1071), pale gold histamenon nomisma (scyphate), Constantinople mint, Class II, obv. Christ standing on footstool, with nimbus crowning Romanus and Eudocia, IC XC, around +PWMA EVDKKA (sic), rev. Michael in centre, Constantius on left (with double image), and Andronicus on right, without footstools, around KWN MX AND, (S.1861, DOC.2, R.2026). Nearly extremely fine and scarce.

This specimen with normal orientation with the convex side for the three brothers, a similar specimen in sale 45 (lot 1288) had reverse orientation.
