CONSTANTIUS II, (A.D. 337-361), gold solidus, Nicomedia mint, issued 351-355, (4.44 grams), obv. helmeted and cuirassed bust facing holding spear and shield, around FL IVL CONSTAN TIVS PERP AVG, rev. Roma and Constantinopolis seated holding inscribed shield VOT XXX MVLT XXXX in four lines, GLORIA REI PVBLICAE around, SMNE in exergue, (RIC 74 noted R2, cf.S.3988). Good very fine and very rare.
