NERO, (A.D. 54-68), gold aureus, (7.21 grams), issued 64-5., Rome mint, obv. NERO CAESAR AVGVSTVS, laureate head to right, rev. IVPPITER CVSTOS around, Jupiter, bare to waist, seated left on throne, to right holding thunderbolt and long sceptre, (cf.S.673 [silver denarius], RIC 52 [R], BMC 67). Good very fine and rare.
