EAST INDIA COMPANY, Madras Presidency, British Style Coinage System, gold mohur or ashrafi, undated type, issued 1819, struck at Madras mint, obv. EIC arms with suporters, around ENGLISH EAST INDIA COMPANY, rev. in Persian 'Ashrafi' (or mohur) of the Honourable English Company, (KM.421.1, Pr.241). Mount removed top edge otherwise nearly very fine.
