`ALAWI SHARIFS, Moulay Sulayman, (A.H. 1207-1238) (A.D. 1793-1822), gold benduqi (double dinar), Fas mint, not dated, (A.618, KM.41, M.1394). Flat areas, off centred, otherwise fine and rare.

Sulayman revived the traditional ducat weight for the bunduqi a term deriving from the Arabic name for the city of Venice.
