SA`DIAN SHARIFS, 'Abd Allah al-Ghalib, (A.H. 1021-1033) (A.D. 1612-1623), silver dirhem, no date or mint, type, (A.572, M.-). Slightly off centred, otherwise good very fine and rare.

The first dynasty of Sharifs in Morocco. Their coinage consists of gold dinars and silver dirhems with a few fractional issues (the silver is poorly documented in the literature). After the death of Ahmad in 1012 the Sa`dian dynasty was split into rival factions.
