AL-MUSTA'SIM, (A.H. 640-656) (A.D. 1242-1258), multiple gold dinar (6.66 grams), with caliph's name, Madinat al Salam mint (Baghdad mint), A.H. 642 = A.D. 1244-1245, with additional field inscriptions, (cf.A.275, BMC 504, Lavoix 1320-1322, cf.M.266-7). Double struck on the obverse, weak in places with clipped flans, otherwise good very fine and rare.
