AL-WALID I (A.H. 86-96) (A.D. 705-715), silver anonymous dirham, Herat mint (Khurasan Province), A.H. 92 = A.D. 711, (A.128, cf.BMC 168, W. P.107 [Paris]). Very fine and very rare.

The issue from this mint was of short duration and few specimens only have been noted. This dated example was first recorded by Lavoix and is the specimen cited above, Porter in 1921 also noted another example in the American University at Beirut.
