PERU; feather ear-rings; the feathers have been attached to the base to form a pattern and are shaped in the form of a half of a cotton reel; these earrings were inserted in the distended earlobes of high ranking royal family; any feather artefacts are extremely rare, and are not often found in private collections let alone museums, Chimu culture; Lambayeche valley. Ca 1000-1400 A.D.
