GORDIAN III, (A.D. 238-244), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 241, obv. laureate bust of Gordian III to right draped and cuirassed, around IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. around DIANA LVCIFERA, Diana standing to right, holding lighted torch, (S.2470, RIC 127a, C.69). Unevenly toned, nearly extremely fine/very fine.
