CRISPINA, wife of Commodus, (m.A.D.177, d.A.D. 180's), AE sestertius, Rome mint, (21.37 grams), obv. draped bust to right of Crispina, around CRISPINA AVGVSTA, rev. around SALV[S], S C across field, Salus seated to left feeding out of a patera a snake coiled around altar, left arm on side of chair, (S.1689, RIC 672a, C.33). Reverse with corrosion spots and pitting, overall appearance however is attractive, very fine/nearly fine and scarce.
