MARCUS AURELIUS, (A.D. 161-180), issued as Caesar, struck at Rome in A.D. 145, AE sestertius, (22.33 grams), obv. AVRELIVS CAE SAR AVG P II F COS II, bare head to right, rev. S C across field, Minerva advancing to right, brandishing a javelin and holding a shield, (S.1390, RIC 1243a, C.576, BMC 1776). Attractive dark patina, nearly very fine.
