MARCUS AURELIUS AS CAESAR, (A.D. 161-180), silver denarius, issued A.D. 148, Rome mint, (3.08 grams), obv. bare head to right of Marcus Aurelius, around AVRELIVS CAESAR AVG PII F, rev. Providentia standing to left, resting arm on column, pointing hand to globe and holding cornucopiae, around TR POT III COS II, (cf.S.1382, BMC A683, RIC 444 [Antoninus Pius], C.618). Bright, attractive and sharply struck, good very fine.
