ANTONINUS PIUS, (A.D. 138-161), AE sestertius, (23.96 grams), Rome mint, issued A.D. 140-144, obv. laureate head of Antoninus Pius to right, around ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P TR P COS III, rev. TIBERIS, S C in exergue, the Tiber reclining to left, resting right hand on boat and leaning on rock, (S.1272, RIC 643a, C.820, BMC 1313 note). Attractive light brown patina, good fine and a very rare type.
