VESPASIAN, (A.D. 69-79), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 71, (23.82 grams), obv. laureate head of Vespasian to right, around IMP CAES VESPASIAN AVG P M TR P PP COS III, rev. around CAES AVG [F] DES IMP AVG F COS DES IT, S C across, Titus and Domitian standing right and left, facing one another, Titus holding spear and parazonium, Domitian a spear, (S.788, RIC 413, C.419). Hole in edge, dark patina, nearly very fine and very rare.
