REPUBLIC, L.Marcius Philippus, (c.56 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (4.07 grams), obv. diademed head of Ancus Marcius to right, lituus behind, below ANCVS, rev. equestrian statue to right on an arcade of five arches, within arches A Q V A MAR, to left PHILIPPVS, (S.301, Marcia 29, Cr. 425/1, Syd. 919). Good very fine.
