REPUBLIC, L. Calpurnius Piso Frugi, (c.90 B.C.), silver quinarius, Rome mint, (2.08 grams), obv. laureate head of Apollo to right, lotus behind, dotted border, rev. Victory to right, L PI SO across, FRVGI in exergue, (S.255, Cr.340/2e, Syd.672, Calpurnia 13b). Lightly toned, good very fine and a scarce issue.
