PARTHIA, Kingdom of, Vologases V, (A.D. 191-208), base silver tetradrachm, (13.55 grams), Seleucia mint, year 509 = A.D. 195-6, obv. long pointed bearded bust to left, hair bunched above diadem and behind ears, rev. king seated to left on throne, receiving diadem from Tyche, date above, (cf.S.5870, Sellwood 87.16, Shore 445 [This Coin]). Good very fine and rare.

Ex. Fred Shore Collection (lot 445) and illustrated in his book (p.159, No.445).
