ATTICA, Athens, drachm, (c.470-467 B.C.), Starr Group IIb, (4.04 grams), obv. head of Athena to r., wearing crested helmet, rev. owl standing to r., head facing, olive twig and behind, (S.2523, cf.Starr 46 [Pl.V, 46], cf.ACNAC Rosen 205). Surface porosity, small bust characteristic of earliest period, fine and very rare.
