ITALY, Bruttium, Croton, (370-350 B.C.), silver stater, (7.62 grams), obv. head of Hera Lacinia to facing slightly to right, wearing stephanos, rev. naked Heracles seated to left on rock, covered with lion skin, holds cup in extended right hand and club in left hand, around **[KR]O TWNI ATAN, (cf.S.474; SNG ANS 371 [same dies], Gale 56 [same dies], SNG Lloyd 616 [same dies]). Light edge porosity, flan and edge defects, nearly very fine and rare.
