ITALY, Lucania, Metapontum, (c.320-290 B.C.), silver stater, (7.67 grams), obv. head of Demeter to left, wearing pendant, rev. corn ear, META to right, alabastron to right above stalk on left, and **DI to left under stalk, (cf.S.416, Johnston [NN&M 164] Class C, 11.11, SNG ANS 488, [same dies]). Good fine and rare.
