ITALY, Campania, Neapolis (Naples), (c.340-240 B.C.), silver stater or didrachm, (7.37 grams), obv. head of nymph to right, Artemis running with torch to right behind, rev. bull walking to right, crowned by Nike flying right above, below monogram of **PD, below exergue [NE]OPOLITHS, (cf.S.307, cf.Sambon 466, SNG ANS 352-4 [same dies], SNG Cop. 420 [same dies]). Well centred on the obverse, otherwise good very fine/very fine and a scarce symbol.
