JUSTIN II, (A.D. 565-578), gold solidus, issued at Carthage mint in A.D. 571-572, obv. helmeted and cuirassed bust facing, holding globe surmounted by Victory, around D N I VSTI NVS PP AV, rev. Constantinopolis enthroned facing head right, holding sceptre and globe with cross, around VICTORI A AVGGGZ, in exergue CONOB, (S.391, DOC 190c, BN 18). Light scratch on reverse, otherwise extremely fine.
