ARABIA, Himyarite, under 'Amdan Bayyin (with Yanaf), 1st century A.D. (ANS date first century B.C.), (2.68 grams) Uncertain mint, silver unit or light denarius, obv. male head to right, with diadem, symbols before and behind, dotted border, rev. bucranium with antelope horns and plumes facing, symbols each side. (S.5712, BMC 30 [p.67] SNG ANS 1531-1545). Toned, nearly extremely fine.
