ITALY, Calabria, Taras, (c.480-470 B.C.), silver stater, (8.03 grams), obv. Taras seated to right on dolphin holding cuttlefish, **TARAS* retrograde below, obv. hippocamp to left, cockle-shell below, above **TAPAS* retrograde, (cf.S.224, Vl.115, SNG lockett 121 [this coin]). Toned, very fine, and very rare.
