COUNTY, penny mule with Cornwall Scorrier House obverse dated 1812, (Davis 24) edge centre grained right (18.42 grams). Usual deteriorated state for the Staffordshire obverse die, very little wear if any, good very fine for piece and rare.

Ex Dix Noonan Webb sale 6 February 1998 (lot 259). A curious mule of two obverse dies equally as attributable to Cornwall as Staffordshire.
