DEVON COUNTY, W. Upcott, twopence, 1801, view of Eddystone Lighthouse/view of Spurn Point Lighthouse, edge plain (Davis 21). Hints of mint red within an overall blue toned patina uncirculated and extremely rare as such, one of the finest of the few known.

Purchased from Spink in 1973 Willism Upcott (1779-1845) antiquary, book and token collector had Peter Wyon engrave this private token (see W. Sykes Collection sale Spink Sale 51 lot 262 for a detailed account of this difficult to strike token).
