AYRSHIRE, Colonel Fullarton's Prince of Wales pattern set of halfcrown, one shilling and sixpence (or eighteenpence) and sixpence, 1799, by Milton, struck in silver by order of Mathew Young circa 1828 (Davis 1,5,14). A beautifully and deeply toned grey and iridescent proof set, FDC and very rare. (3)

Purchased from Regal Coins (Melbourne) in 1969. The halfcrown has a prominent die cud on the reverse rim at 9 o'clock apart from the usual one under the front of the bust.
