LANCASHIRE, Cark Cotton Works four shillings and six pence, 1787, a Charles III Mexico City Mint eight reales, 1780 countermarked on the obverse. Cark Cotton Works 1787 in four lines in relief on a serrated edge circle and similarly four/shillings/and six/pence on the reverse. (Davis 31A). Coin and countermark very fine and extremely rare, only six known.
