GERMANY-POLAND, Lodz Ghetto, 1943, five marks in aluminium and magnesium, ten marks in aluminium (2), magnesium, issued by Jewish Elders, [Der Alteste Der Juden], (Campbell 4752a and b, 4753 a & b, Stahl, No.51, [p.39, text p.29-43]). Very fine. (5)

These coins were allegedly produced by the personal intervention of the Nazi Commander of the Ghetto, Hans Biebow, who was an avid stamp and coin collector.
