CHINA, Western Chou Dynasty, Warring State period, 'Li shih' (Lei Sek), (elegant stone), round cash with round hole, (c.400-255 B.C.), two characters around, diameter 37mms, (Coole 8974, Vol.7 p.31, TFP 373, Pl.45). Some light green encrustation, otherwise very fine and very rare.

One of the earlist cash type coins that continued until tis century.
