GUERNSEY, Bank of Guernsey (BIshop de Jersey & Co.), five shillings, 1809, arms of Guernsey/token for five shillings within wreath above Bank of Guernsey below 1809 (D.1., also Pr90, MCC.T1) overstruck on a Mexico City Charles IIII eight reales dated 179(?) the obverse of the host coin is on the reverse. Well struck with attractive blue grey and gold tones, good extremely fine and extremely rare, only seven known, this one of the finest. Of great numismatic interest and one of the world's rarest silver crowns.
