JOHN III, (A.D. 1222-1254), tetarteron, Magnesia mint, (2.22 grams), obv. St. George's bust facing with spear in right hand, rev. John standing holding labarum and akakia, legends both sides, (S.2115, Hendy Pl.34 Nos.4-5). Attractive patina, nearly very fine, and scarce.
