ISAAC II, Angelus, (A.D. 1185-1195), gold hyperpyron, Constantinople mint, (3.92 grams), obv. Virgin enthroned facing nimbate, holds infant Christ, MP **Q*V either side of head, rev. Isaac and the Archangel Michael standing holding between them a sword in a sheath, to left ICAAKIOC **D*EC, to right X/**D* and X/M, (S.2001, H. pl.20, 2-4, R.2174-6, BMC 3-11). Very fine/nearly extremely fine and scarce.
