JULIA SOAEMIAS, mother of Elagabalus, (c.A.D.218-222), silver denarius, (3.34 grams) Rome mint, obv. draped bust to right, IVLIA SOAEMIAS AVG, rev. VENVS CAELESTIS, Venus seated to left, holding apple and sceptre, child at her feet, (S.2171, RIC 243, BMC 55). Good very fine and scarce.
