CLAUDIUS, (A.D. 41-54), AE dupondius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 41-50, (12.7 grams), obv. bare head of Claudius to left, around TI CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG P M TR P IMP, rev. CERES AVGVSTA around, Ceres veiled and draped seated to left, SC in exergue, (S.636, RIC 94, BMC 136). Attractive light bronze patina, very fine and rare in this condition.
