REPUBLIC, A. Plautius, (55 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.3 grams), obv. turreted head of cybele to right, [A PLAVTIVS] before [AED CVR], rev. Bacchius kneels right with camel, BACCHIV[S] in exergue, [IVDAEVS] on right, (B.Plautia 13, S.304, Cr.431/1, Syd.932). Off centred on reverse, porous, otherwise very fine and scarce.
