EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy I, (323-283 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.23 grams), Alexandria mint, obv. head of Ptolemy I to right wearing aegis, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, in front S, around **[B]ASILE[WS] PTOLEMAIOU*, (cf.S.7773, Sv.214, SNG Cop 47). Heavily hit and flattened on places on the obverse and reverse, otherwise nearly very fine.
