GROUP OF SIX, Order of the British Empire (1st type) (M.B.E.); Queens South Africa Medal - five bars - Cape Colony; Dreifontein; Johannesburg; Diamond Hill; Wittebergen; British War Medal 1914-18; Coronation Medal 1902; (EVIIR); Coronation Medal 1911 (GVR); Jubilee Medal 1935 (GVR). Capt. W.A. Mewman N.S.W. M.R. Impressed, second medal partially renamed, name erased on British War Medal, others unnamed. Fine-very fine.

Lieutenant William A. Newman was officer commanding 'C' Squadron, First New South Wales Rifles. Together with extract from 'Records of Australian Contingent to the South Africa War 1899-1902.'
