PATTERN COIN OF ALEXANDER I, Emperor of Russia, 1804, gilt proof pattern coinage medal in copper, by C.H. Kuchler, 41mm, (25.8 grams), obv. Alexander I, bust to left, rev. Greek cross on plain field, dated 1804, (Pollard 29 [p.299-301], Sev.2552 but gilt). Brilliant FDC and very rare.

Ex. Dolphin Coins, London with its ticket. A specimen in copper gilt is in the British Museum. Although a pattern for coinage this example is most interesting as it is a signed work by Kuchler.
