CAPTURE OF SERINGAPATAM, silver medal with ring mount, by C.H. Kuchler, 48mm, (46.6 grams), 1799, obv. lion attacking tiger, beneath a standard, dated 1799, rev. view of the assault of Serinapatam, Arabic inscription in exergue, (Pollard 20 [p.290], Eimer 903, BHM -, Fearon -, Gordon 25). Nearly extremely fine, rare.

Ex. I.S. Wright. Medal awarded by the East India Comapny and given from 1808 to European and native troops of the Bengal Presidency engaged in the siege. Silver was given to captains.
