EARL ST. Vincent's Medal, silver medal, by C.H. Kuchler, 48mm, (23.4 grams), 1800, obv. Bust of St.Vincent to left, rev. seaman shaking hands with a marine, Union Jack behind, all within laurel wreath, dated 1800, (Pollard 19 [p.289-290], Eimer 919, BHM 489, Fearon 251.4, MH 456). Blue and gold patina, uncirculated, very rare.

Ex. A.H. Baldwin, London in 1995. Medal awarded by the Earl St. Vincent in 1800 to the sailors of HMS Ville de Paris, his flag-ship, who remained loyal at the time of the Nore Mutiny, 1797.
