MARRIAGE OF THE PRINCE OF WALES, bronzed proof medal in copper, by C.H. Kuchler, 48mm, (60.6 grams), 1795, obv. jugate busts of Prince of Wales and Princess Caroline, rev. Hymen standing right, holding torch and two shields, dated 1797, (Pollard 9 (i) [p.279-281], Eimer 865, BHM 392, Fearon 246.2). Purple and blue patina, FDC.

Ex. A.H. Baldwin, London. This example shows the error date 1797. Princess Caroline Amelia Elizabeth (1768-1821) was the daughter of Duke Charles William Ferdinand of Brunswick.
