LORD HOWE, bronzed proof medal in copper, by C.H. Kuchler, 48mm, (61.0 grams), 1794, obv. bust of Lord Howe to right, with THALASSIARCHA legend rev. quarter view of Howe's flag ship 'Queen Charlotte' sinking French ship, dated 1794, (Pollard 8 (i) [p.277-279], Eimer 855, BHM 383, Fearon 245.3, MH 417). Slightest friction on the high points on the reverse, otherwise FDC.
