OLIVER CROMWELL, Lord Protector 1653, 18-19th century cast and chased medal in silver, by Thomas Simon, 38mm, (10.7 grams), obv. bust of Oliver Cromwell to left, rev. lion sejant holding the arms of the Protectorate, (Eimer 188b, MI 45 illustrated Pl. XXXV, 4; Fearon 103.3, cf.Baldwin 1996 Commemorative Medals [506]). An 18-19th century silver cast, good very fine.
