TAMWORTH, John Harding's penny, 1799, uniface trial strike in copper of the second reverse at a more advanced stage (as illustrated in the Davisson edition of D&H 9 bis). Hints of red even brown uncirculated and excessively rare.

Ex A.H.F. Baldwin Collection and purchased from F. Schwer in 1987. The above four trials are illustrated on page 5 of A Brief Introduction to 18th Century Trade Tokens by Allan Davisson, Cold Spring, Mn, USA 1996.
