NATIONAL SERIES, Skidmore's George III halfpenny, bust right/to Commemorate His Majesty viewing the Dutch prizes at the Nore Octr 30 1797 (D&H 943) flan cracked in striking at 12 o'clock (illustrated). Royal couple, conjoined busts left/man of war sailing right (D&H 945a, b). The first with attractive dark blue brown patina, uncirculated, second good extremely fine, last worn, nearly fine/fair, the first rare. (3)
